Holub's is near Ames, Iowa. Very cool place, plus they have popcorn, so it keeps the hubbie and kids quiet while I take my time looking. Their plants are the highest quality I've seen. I think I might go there today.

I did chard last year...and I planted way too much. It just produces and produces. I had so much more than I could ever use...even with feeding it to my guinea pigs. Unless everyone in your family REALLY likes chard, I wouldn't do a huge amount.

I have been gardening for about...well...I count in summers...lol. This will be my fourth summer. The snap peas I ordered came from the Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa. They recommend them in pots I believe...but you could do them anywhere. ...

- I am a teacher, a flexitarian, I am very active in my church. I love to garden. I am very interested in growing and canning my own food, and if I can't grow it myself, I try to find it locally. I only eat meat that comes from free-range, horomone free, no antibiotic kind of farms. I want to pass on my love of outdoor stuff to my kids. I love reading. I am engaged to the love of my life.
