Hello everyone!
I have to admit, I'm new to technology, scared, but willing and wanting to learn. I love to read, watch movies (2 hour escape), match my undies to my outfit, bit OCD about organizing closets...okay the whole house, travel, playing volleyball, and getting massages. How often do I get to do those things? More now that I've changed my focus...but that is causing issues with others who were so used to me doing everything for them (hubby, other family, friends)
I have 2 special needs children : son with Asperger's and daughter with Osteogenesis Imperfecta type III (severe brittle bones). Never a dull moment in my house :) Since I've changed my life, their lives have turned for the better as well. Funny how that works.
I work full time for a bowling pro shop distributor and am writing a book for SPED moms called "Martyrdom Sucks: A Survival Guide for Moms of Special Needs Kids". It's about being a woman first, mom second....which is double hard to do when your kids have double the needs. I have an agent and am shopping for a publisher. If any of you would like to contribute your thoughts and advice to other moms, I'll gladly add it in!! By no means do I think I've got a corner market on knowledge. I fully believe in lifting the whole community to prosper.
I look forward to exchanging loves, laughs, and irks with everyone!
Heather
