Have you danced with your daughter today?

Hi, I'm Jackie Lee ~ I live in the middle of no where Kansas and love the peace and quiet it brings me.

I have one daughter ~ Hanna ~ she's 4. She's full of spit and vinegar and though she tests my patience many days I wouldn't have it any other way.

My husband and I have been married since 2003 and still finding ways to be better friends each day. He owns his own construction business so we are a very entrepreneurial family ~ which has it's pros and cons. (but mostly pros)

I'm a blogger, and a writer and so happy that I am blessed to be able to stay home to work and raise my daughter. I do find it somewhat isolating at times ~ to live in a very rural area with only a 3 year old to talk to. Those are the times I come to Twittermoms, Twitter and frequent my favorite mom blogs to get a little fix of community. It is amazing to me how people can be so far away from one another and yet feel so close. It is but one of the many things I'm grateful for in my life.

I'm always open to meeting new people and hope to meet you ~ feel free to add me as a friend, shoot me a message to say hi or give me a tweet (that's probably the most reliable form of communication these days :)) I'm working on creating more balance in my life which means I'm trying not to be on the computer ALL day. ;) some days that works out better than others.

Have a magical day ~

I found it was really important for me to notice my daughter's "good times" of the day and I work then. She's much easier to get involved with something during that time, and it just happens to be my good work time. I've decided it's not worth tryi…

Free Vision Board Software

I've been using vision board software for quite a while. I really like it and feel it has helped me manifest a lot of things in my life.

I just wanted to let you know that through this month you can get the same vision board software I use for free!

It's a promotion OrangePeel is running, and it's a great deal ~ it's normally pretty expensive. :)

If you've thought about getting some vision board software or even if you

Building a Community By Being Yourself

It doesn't matter what kind of business you're running ~ whether it's network marketing or a blog.... YOU are the only thing that makes your business different than any of the other gajillion businesses out there.

It's time to let go of the ideas of what we should and shouldn't do in our online business ~ it's time to let go of the "guru" lists of what you need to do and start being yourself.

Your authenticity will take you farther than any guru list out there. People con… Continue

Should I use a free blog platform?

When I started blogging I started a blog on wordpress.com. It was free, it was easy, it was not very intimidating. As my blog turned into more of a business than a hobby I realized I needed a platform I had more control over.... especially after all my blogs were deleted.

If you're wondering where you should start and keep your blog check out this video ~ it outlines my experiences with 3 major blogging platforms, and will help you decide what's right for your business.

Get more traffic with blog comments

When I first started my blog one of my favorite things to do was go to other blogs and look around, read what they wrote and get involved. Little did I know it was a really SMART thing to do too! Commenting on other blogs is a great way to get your name out there, let people get to know you, and get people to come back and check out your blog.

It can be a total time suck if you don't do it right, but here are a few tricks to create a streamlined plan and leverage your time a

Jackie,
One versatile food which is chicken! You can make a great soup out of a 1/4 chicken lots of veges, barley. That's a meal on it's own packed with goodness. Take out the chicken before you serve it - Chop it and throw it into rice with onions and anything else. Another great meal. You can also put the chicken through a blender - add onions, veges, breadcrumbs & eggs and make patties - just pack it up! Enjoy.

Twenty-five years ago, I didn't win any good house-keeping awards - but I was really happy doing what I wanted to do. And because I was happy, so were the children. When we stop worrying about what others think of us; when we don't fit in the box, and just believe in ourselves and do 'our thing', as long as the children have clean clothes and food on the table, the rest takes care of itself. Hey Girl how are you? I have created a website that has made my children smile as well as others, & I want to share it with you. WWW.DEAR-SANTACLAUS.NET sends children personalized letters from Santa Claus. I remember when I was a little girl and I received a letter from Santa it was a memory I still hold dear to my heart. I started sending my own children letters, then my nieces & nephews. They all loved it. the excitement and energy was beautiful. It's already setting the tone for the holiday season. I encourage all you mothers to visit my website you wont be disappointed and your children will absolutely love it! Also Visit MAKESOMEONEHAPPY.ORG & order an "Letter of Encouragement". Same Concept just now letters are sent to: Troops overseas, mom, dad, any and everyone.

I agree! And would like to make my own. I like to go for 'simple' whenever possible :)

Just had a week of amazingly good and super good-for-you meals with my 'babies' at our family cabin gathering at Donner Lake...ahh...

So grateful they are choosing such healthy ways of eating (see the Nourishing Moms group here).

Blessings!

One way to stretch the food budget, while actually increasing nutrition (and flavor!) is 24 hr bone broth. I invite you to check out www.SoupMagic.com and view the (6) 5 min videos on the 'got issues' tab.

Blessings!
