A little about yourself...
I am a wife and mother with a PhD in Developmental studies. I have lived with lupus for over 25 years. I have four children, a 17 year old son, twin 10 year old daughters and my oldest son who was killed 10/12/08 at the age of 19 in an auto accident. Life right now is searching for a new normal and living with grief and loss. I will always be the mother of four.

I agree with you Jacqueline, now, my blessing also is my granddaughter. I had no idea what a joy it would be, I was shocked to be a grandma at my age, and knew my son was not ready to be a responsible parent and get his priorities in life correct, this was true, but I could not imagine my life without her, she has brought me much joy. Hope you can get a chance to read a posting about a grandparent relationship I wrote a couple of months back...
