Hi Jamie - Welcome to the group. I was stationed in Mayport for 4 years, right by Jax. I spent many wkends by the waterfront. We follow the Jaguars since they were "born" the same year as my our son :)

A little about yourself...
I work in Communications for a mega company that is dipping its foot into social media. Wanted to get involved so I started researching. The rest is history. I tweet, blog, facebook, and I'm learning to podcast! I'm trying to get my kids' school PTA to get on board. I'm just getting this ball rolling, but I can't wait to see where it leads.
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
Mom-ing 2 tweener boys, new stuff I learn because of Social Media, political venting, work-life balance fiascos, etc.

Hey, Soccer Moms: Can we talk?

My son's team won their soccer game Saturday. (Let's just keep that between us, okay?) Picture eight little 8 year old boys in a quiet circle whispering 'woo-hoo', so as not to draw attention to themselves. A little riduculous, isn't it? Well, that's what happened Saturday, and I just have to tell you it struck me as very odd.

'Virtual' Parenting - Increasing Engagement or Working Mom's Cop-out?

My kids are children of a Virtual Mom. I'm trying to decide whether that's a good thing. So I'm hoping you'll help me decide. Be gentle, people; I'm really putting myself out there (well, virtually, anyway...)
