Glad to read your daughter's eyes are doing much better. sounds like you have gone through a lot from day 1. My daughter did not have any outwardly noticable symptoms and even passed routine eye exams. It wasn't until the school had a commission of the blind come and do vision screening that the screener caught that she was only using 1 eye. We do the Atropine drops tonight and tomorrow an exam in the morning.

My daughter was eye patched first. Her esotropia was evident from day one (newborn). Patching didn't work and her eye turning was very severe. Her awesome pediatric opth. suggested surgery sooner rather than later (the sooner it's addressed, the better). She had surgery at 9 months old. Doc had warned us there was about a 50% chance she'd need eye surgery again before age 18. After the first surgery, she got glasses. (In her case, glasses wouldn't have helped presurgery. While we were hoping we were done w/surgery, she had a 2nd surgery about a year after the 1st. Her doc doesn't take surgery lightly. This was necessary. One surgery did the inner eye muscles; the other did the outer eye muscles. She's now 8 years old and going great. She wears glasses and has needed several Rx changes for her lenses. The improvement is huge. Looking back at baby pictures, it's just amazing what this doctor was able to do! :)
