Hi Jen!
Just stopping by to let you know that my new music video for my lullaby Child of Sunshine is finished!

You can see it at: http://www.lullaby-link.com
If you enjoy it, please share it with as many people as you can.

All downloads from now through the end of 2009 will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network as they helped us so much when our son was born 6 weeks early.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Jen! Thanks so much for your comments! I love what your doula did in creating a support group for moms. What a gift. Because Clayton was born prematurely in a state other than where we were living at the time, my doctors got all mixed up and my doula was not there. We then moved when my son was six months old. I was so grateful to be closer to family from that point on. My sister and mother really got us through. Empowerment Theater was my double major and was a combination of Women's Studies and theater. I now combine storytelling and song to create performances to open the heart and illuminate the spirit. My new website will be up soon but you can learn more about some past projects at www.amyrobbinswilson.com

I am so happy to have found your joyful presence on this site! Let's keep chatting- I see you also like gardening. Do you have your garden planned yet? What is LOA?

Hi, Jen,

Thank you for commenting on my page. To answer your questions & keep this brief (ahem), you can read current info about me is on my TwitterMoms profile page: http://www.twittermoms.com/profile/AffirmingSpirit

I was raised in a small town near Lake Ontario in western NY state (think apple country). After being accepted to the Fine Arts dept of CMU, my father was diagnosed with cancer & died 6 months later. About a month before he passed, my mother told me that she didn't think she could afford to send me to CMU and was looking for a less-expensive option in a *safe* area (i.e., not NYC). My high school art teacher knew that NY state schools were very expensive, athough not as much as a private school like CMU. She recommended I apply to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Keep in mind that I'm neither Mormon nor do I ski! My mother agreed considering my teacher's family lived in SLC, UT and could help me assimilate. That fall, I moved to SLC, sight-unseen and began my college life.

In retrospect, it was a wonderful learning experience at the perfect time in my life. SLC is a clean, safe, beautiful city. My education was phenomenal (when I compare it to others who have the same degree), I liked the instructors and classmates, and there was just enough *differentness* to the experience to make it feel like a grand adventure! I fell in love with the beauty of Utah (5 National Parks in one small state) and still have fond memories of that time of my life.

I stayed and worked in SLC for a year after I graduated with my BFA, then moved to San Jose, CA (again, sight-unseen), and have been here for 23.5 years.

My passion is showing women how to grow in consciousness, be deliberate creators, release their blocks to success, and teach them tools for getting out of their own way. I focus on helping women/mothers/business owners because I know what it's like to juggle raising a child with running a business, and, having been there, I know what really works. It is truly a joy to assist women who are also on their path. With AffirmingSpirit.com I'm sharing my creative skills (I created the entire website and the card products) and my interest in metaphysics. I feel this is *why* I am on this planet at this time.

Interestingly, I had been following Ramtha (an entity channeled by J Z Knight) from late 1980s into the mid-1990s. One day, I realized that I was more confused by their answers than helped and concluded that channeling was a *gimick*. I decided not to follow Ramtha or anyone else. In response to my asking for *truth I could apply to my life*, people (even strangers) started telling me about Abraham! I was enthralled UNTIL they told me it was channeled information. For 10 yrs people told me over and over ...and I was not interested! Then, I saw Esther speaking in the original verison of The Secret and thought, "This woman is incredible! Who IS she??" When I realized who she was, I recognized the name and dug up their intro CD that someone had foisted upon me in the previous 10 years (LOL!). When I finally listened to that CD, I immediately *got* what Abe was saying. Since then I've bought as many books, CDs as I could and attended a workshop last year (Feb 08/San Francisco). I just signed up for their twice-monthly audio downloads and am already so glad I did.

And Ramtha? Ha! After devouring the Abe materials, I picked up a Ramtha book one day, thinking of donating it, and was STUNNED how I could suddenly understand all that Ramtha was saying! It *wasn't* gibberish after all...I needed Abe to bring me up to speed so that Ramtha made sense. Isn't it funny how life is constantly teaching us!?! :o)

Many blessings,
Nancy

Welcome to TwitterMoms, Jen! I am also a huge Abe fan (*just* got my first workshop audio subscription today!! So excited!). I've been using LOA for most of my life, without realizing it, and began seriously working with affirmations more than 23 yrs ago. I've read and followed many during that time, but I totally resonate with Abe's teachings.

I'd love to get to know you better and connect with you on Twitter. Do let me know some more about you. Have you attended any of their workshops?

Many blessings,
Nancy
@AffirmingSpirit

PS I *almost* went to college at Carnegie-Mellon as I was accepted into their early-admission program.
