If having a baby was as much work as adopting a dog....
I just finished a home visit this evening. It was to confirm that my children and I qualify -- to adopt a dog from a local rescue.
Yes -- a dog.
After I closed the door behind the home visit lady, I wondered, if we all had to go through questioning like this, would less people actually get to have kids? I mean, seriously -- you get pregnant, they ask you if you have a car seat installed, and off you go. That's it. No tests to see if you aren't nuts, have a responsible lifestyle, a safe roof ov… Continue
