Hi Jennie, someone gave me this little booklet years ago with a pink scarf. I did not read it. I put it in my drawer. My sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday, so I opened the drawer to wear the scarf today to my UCLA lecture that I am giving, and I read the book. I was surprised to see you on the first page. Such a small world. What a lovely booklet. I'm hoping you are better and have to some info to share with me about what this new road will be like...

A little about yourself...
I'm the author of the novels The Last Beach Bungalow and The Only True Genius in the Family, which is coming out in February 2009. I've also written a memoir on breast cancer (The Victoria's Secret Catalog Never Stops Coming and Other Lessons I Learned From Breast Cancer). I teach a course in writing memoir at the UCLA Extension Writing Program, and coach writers privately.
