I'm a very untechnical person as well. I noticed that you are on blogspot. If you signed onto your account on blogspot, go under Settings and then click on the tab Publishing. You'll see:
You're publishing on blogspot.com
Switch to: • Custom Domain…
Just go through godaddy and call the telephone number and do it over the phone. Pretty much you choose the name you want they will see if it is available and then they can register you and so forth .,
Yahoo is pretty easy but kind of expensive. Godaddy should be a good one. I believe I've heard that their customer service is good, so if you have questions, contact them and they can help you wade through it all.
