It's only a few days away--the Back to School Food Allergy Twitter Party on July 23 at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST. Just in time too, since the stores are already pushing their back to school merchandise. Time keeps marching on though, and it is time to start getting ready to send those kids back to school. For those of you with young food allergic children just e… Continue

Hi JenniferB-I discovered about 10 years ago that I am allergic to peanuts. It's wierd, I get a severe headache, and it will ruin a couple days if I ever eat peanuts by mistake. My daughter is also allergic to peanuts. We are able to eat any other kind of nut with no problem. It sure is scary to get sick from a food. We read labels like crazy. I am glad I found this website, I am really impressed with the people here. Have a great weekend. Lauren

Jennifer, this is completely unrelated to the invitation above but I think you might want to check out www.drbuttartruth.org. He is a doctor that specializes in diagnosing different types of toxicity we have in our bodies to help alleviate symptoms like allergies and a lot of so-called disorder and diseases. I met him at a conference and was blown away by the information he had to share. I hope this helps.

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

PPS: We invite all bloggers to join the TwitterMoms Blog Network. It's a free, easy way to build blog traffic.

Hi Jennifer. I own the Chef It Up 2 Go Mobile Unit of Chef It Up where we bring the parties to our customers, but I still am also very involved with my new owners of my facility. I still own the franchising rights of it so I make checks constantly to make sure they are always in compliance with our guidelines. As you probably have read on our website, I have 3 kids and my oldest who is 8 1/2 has severe peanut/treenut allergies of course he is also asthmatic and has seasonal allergies as well. We try not to always get so crazy out at parties, etc... but he's aware and you just have to be sure to be vigilant. It seems it's so on the rise these allergies in children. Anyway, thank you for your comments and please feel free to pass the word along about our book and if you are in the tri-state area we would love to have you come visit our facility or have us come to you!
