I'm finally learning to be ok with taking a little time for me. Was a divorced single, working mom of 3 for many years. Now I'm a "sort of retired" mom of 3 tweenies, remarried, grandma to 4 super-terrific kids.

ha, ha! that was soooo fast! i was like, "what the heck?" new to this whole thing, but i think i have found a brand new outlet... perfect for me! i really like so far, whatcha think?
I'm an older mom and at times feel so outdated when parenting my 13, 12, and 11 year old girls. Things like make-up, is the clothing choices of my 12 year old too provocative since she's already looking 16? I don't have a younger mom's energy, would like this time to be fun for my girls. Don't want them to look back and hate their teenage years. Does anyone have some suggestions?
