Glad you joined Twitter Moms! Sounds like you're a busy mom! My children are both in college now (Stanford Medical School and Claremont McKenna College) and I'm reaching out to share some tips that worked for me when I was raising little ones.

I set up a preschool for my daughters that set them up to be top of their kindergarten classes (and all the way through school). By inviting a few other students to join the program (for a fee), all of my expenses were covered so I had the best preschool for free! Besides enjoying the ability to set up the perfect program, one that I developed specifically for my daughters, I also received prepared dinners, a clean house, and folded laundry at the end of the day! All for free.

I've written a book to show other super moms how to set this up for their families. It's called "The Working Mother's Guide to FREE Child Care in Your Home!" I also offer consultation to help you get started and to be there when you need support, guidance, or just a friend to talk to!

Whether you're a stay-at-home or a working mom, this program gives you the freedom to have your cake and eat it too! I enjoyed being a mom, working in a career I love, and watching my girls blossom with a program that I set up just for them. They now tell me that it was the best gift I could have given them!

Finally got a chance to see your podcast (I found out about it last month from Kate). It's great! You look like you have so much fun. The MILF/Cougar ending to the 2008 End of Year show made me giggle. Best of luck to you both. You have a new fan.

Moms CAN Have LONG HAIR!

We went on location to a salon to help find out good style information for moms. We want to look great, even SEXY, but we DON'T want to look matronly, right?

So the first of 3 episodes (you can watch at http://www.lipsticknlaundry.com/) is up and we talked with Salon 120 owner Debbie McNeely to see if just because you're a mom, can you have long hair, and the answer was a resounding YES. But HERE'S the tip I want to share:

I didn't know this, (you might have), but you can use a flat iron to CU… Continue

Diary of an 8th Grade Field Trip Chaperone!

Well, it is yet another adventure with the stinky, pubescent, 8th graders of my son Max's school. WOW, I saw more unpopped pimples, greasy long hair, and pushup bras's than I ever want to see again. When you sit on a bus for a 40 minute drive somewhere you learn so much. Our stroll took us to the County Courthouse and we learned about Dred and Helen Scott and how they were one of the first to want to buy their freedom from slavery. This was so interesting to me, I learned so much history, it was… Continue

Are We Teaching Our Kids Not To "Feel"?

Today I got back into my running again, and oh! Have I missed it! I don't run necessarily so I can get away with eating brownies and carbs (though that is a plus). I run because that's when I am alone with myself the best. When I can really "feel". And as I was running today, I thought about that. That need to "feel" deep down inside. It made me think: are we, not just as parents, but as a society, squelching our kids (and our own!) "feelings"?

Think about it, we have medications for every kind… Continue

Going Green Economically and Conveniently

I'm trying sooo hard to get my family to "Go Green", but no one seems to want to cooperate! Kate and I even did a show on it and I did a lot of research for the show: http://tinyurl.com/82cfjo. But, you know what they say about "talking a good life"! Well I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make it so my KIDS would want to do it more readily! Any thoughts?
