Marketing Tools Every Start-Up Business Should Have

One thing that all businesses have in common is a need for marketing. It doesn’t matter if a business was started yesterday or several years ago, the business owner needs to make sure they are being exposed to potential customers, and being remembered to old customers.

Start-up businesses, however, have special marketing needs. Many start-up business owners find marketing an essential task. Once a business has established itself, the owner will find they are receiving repeat business and may no… Continue

Tips To A Profitable Blog - part 4 - Testing and Tweaking

Testing and tweaking

This is probably one of the biggest mistakes I see people make when they are trying to create a profitable blog.

They don't track what is going on and consequently can't make improvements to their blog.
You need to know the following to improve and it is not just the number of site visitors although that is important.
● Where do your visitors come from
● What do they click on
● How long do they stay

One service you can use is:

Traffic Generation

Traffic generation is extremely important part of having a profitable blog.

Keep each post to a single phrase and use that phrase and any of the included keywords as tags.

I have in testing moved a post from page 3 or 4 of Google to page 1 for a specific keyword just by changing the title tag so this is important. You will get more traffic the higher your post ranks.

Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

PPS: We invite all bloggers to join the TwitterMoms Blog Network. It's a free, easy way to build blog traffic.;
