Are you an atheist mom? Are you raising your kids without belief in gods or higher powers?
Are you raising them with a different set of beliefs like Paganism?
If so, then come on in!

I am a newbie too. I am having trouble coming out of my "athiest closet". I have been looking for other athiest moms that have a POSITIVE outlook on life.

Thank you Celina.
It's rough, I admit it. tight now, I'm not quite as strong physically or emotionally as I like to be, as I usually am.

Hey Kat, Good luck on your surgery. I have spine issues, also. The spine fusion scares the heck out of me. Hopefully, there will be a light at the end of this long tunnel. Give yourself your pouting/freak out time. It will allow you to toughen up your mentality when you need it. Thinking of you.
Wow! Not only are you a single mom but you've had a spinal fusion! You are amazing! My brother has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and had the titanium rods placed in his back last year. I have great respect for you.
Thanks ladies! This does seem to be a great place to chat with other women, I really am enjoying the site so far. :)

I'm a 38 yr old single mom of 2 teenage boys ages 15 & 17.
I have been blogging since 1997 and have 4 blogs but only 2 that I update regularly. The other 2 are for photos and my jewelry biz which is on hiatus for now.
I blog about being a mom of teens on http://www.mysinglemomlife.com/blog/ and on the linked blog above, I talk about myself. I think it's important for women to have lives outside of being a mom, be the woman we are, so I have a blog that is my place to be that woman.
I post about my life, my health, my dreams and desires, and other things that make me the individual woman I am, my name is Kat, I'm not just "mom".
I am also disabled due to severe scoliosis and have had spine fusion surgery. I am now fused from C1 to S1, that's skull to tailbone, it makes doing every day normal movements that we take for granted really hard to do.
Daily life doing the normal things moms do is a challenge sometimes, but I don't quit and I don't give up.
If I have to re-learn how to do things or learn a new way of doing things, I'm totally up for the challenge.
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
I chat with friends, post links to my blog posts or other things I find interesting.
What are your areas of interest?
mommyhood, blogging, home & garden, technology, social media, crafting, twitter, work-at-home, religion, fashion and beauty, fitness, weight loss
