It took me awhile to adjust but have recently found some good girlfriends to hang with, so that helps. I love to have girlfriends to chat, cry, giggle, and drink wine with. My husband travels alot, so it is really important to me to have a "clutch". Starting Lipsticknlaundry has been the best thing for me. It has given me focus, since my boys are getting older and don't need me as much....... (or so they say). Do you have a job out of the home? I know taking care of a 17 month old is a job all in its own. . How long have you been involved with Twittermoms? I just love it. I think that Megan Calhoun is a genius.................

.....Texas. Well, in some ways it does fit the stereotype (which can be embarrassing), but in most ways the movie portrayals don't get it completely right.

The southern part of the state is very humid and unlike the "western" part which is more of the dry, dusty desert that we see in the cowboy films. Humidity can be unbearable in the summer, but the trade off here on the coast is the beach and the mild winters.

We live here because my "husband" is a physician/scientist and he has a grant doing research here at UTMB. So certainly not my first choice of booming metropolis but it has its small town beach charm.

Are you originally from St. Louis? Do you still work in LA?

Little one is not in preschool, yet, she is 17 months. We are looking, but we live Galveston, TX and our options are limited.

Thanks for the complimentary words! Yes, Katrina was tough but life is hard for everyone at times. The difference is that some choose to view life as something that happens TO them, instead of something that is happening FOR them.

As for your question regarding "what an "internet" Home Business" coach is...long story short: After my 5 1/2 year journey into this industry, I found that so many smart and beautiful women out there were struggling with little to NO success because of lack of knowledge from a true "femtor" (aka female mentor) successful in this industry. I decided that I was willing to share my expertise with any woman--regardless of what company/product she promoted--provided she was truly willing to surrender to the process coaching provides. It's been rewarding thus far and I truly wish I had more time to devote to it. (I only take 1-2 clients at a time.)

I'm up early (as usual) waiting for my coffee to finish brewing and thought I'd check into Twitter Moms (one of my N/Y's resolutions :) and saw your nice message. To answer your questions...I've never lived in Chicago, but we do have some really nice relatives there on my husbands side ! I've been living in Southern California since I was in sixth grade. We moved to a warmer climate thinking it might help my Mom who had Multiple Sclerosis (a very long story). Several years ago, I wrote a few books called "FRUGAL LUXURIES" and "FRUGAL LUXURIES BY THE SEASONS". Thanks so much for asking!
