I did chard last year...and I planted way too much. It just produces and produces. I had so much more than I could ever use...even with feeding it to my guinea pigs. Unless everyone in your family REALLY likes chard, I wouldn't do a huge amount. ...

I ordered about 60 dollars (OMG) of seeds from the seed savers exchange in decorah, iowa. I have 3 kinds of heirloom tomatoes, and some really cool peppers, and some leeks that I will be starting indoors in the first part of april. Everything else...
