- A little about yourself...
- I'm Kim DeYoung and I'm the founder of Metromom.com a fun, interactive and educational community for entrepreneurial women and moms who are looking to get things done. I love social networking because it gives me one more way to connect with other women—a joyful experience for me and something I do effortlessly. I also love being an entrepreneur, and as the mother of three young children, I want to accomplish many things in my life with maximum energy and minimum stress.
After a great corporate career in the fashion industry, I took the entrepreneurial leap and I never looked back. Initially, I designed and produced Metromom Maternity—a line of "must-have" pieces for the urban woman. Then I evolved into a business coach and a direct sales marketing executive with Melaleuca.
In brainstorming about a new direction for myself I began thinking…imagine if I could create a business where I get to connect great women to each other, provide them with lots of value, make a great income for my family AND give back in a really big way. I’m happy to say with Metromom, I’ve done just that.
Metromom is the GET IT DONE resource for motivate mom entepreneurs. Women from around the country have the opportunity to receive training, promote themselves and connect with other like-minded women. I wholeheartedly believe there’s plenty of room for every woman to shine in all that she does—and this quality of abundance is a very important ingredient of Metromom. I want every Metromom to find smart, savvy, successful business supporters.

It's been just 8 months since I launched Metromom.com and where I stand today is not where I'd planned to be...it's much more exciting. This shift happened because I stayed open to feedback and opportunities that I hadn't envisioned beforehand, while continuing to stay tuned into my intuition.
