I hope this comment isn't too late, but I want to let you know about First Friday in Southlake at Harkins Theatre. The first Friday of each month a Christian speaker comes in and does a talk for Christian women in this area. The event is free and is from 11 a.m. until noon. Child care is available but must be reserved in advance through Harkins. Today's speaker is Jody Capehart. Check it out at There are usually a few hundred women there, so it would be difficult to connect today.

A little about yourself...
Artist. The majority of La Donna's artwork combines the arts of scherenschnitte , papercutting, and paper sculpture. Each piece is hand cut from fine artist’s paper. “Scherenschnitte” literally means “scissors snipping,” and refers to the papercutting aspect of the art. Scherenschnitte is cut using tiny scissors and craft knives, and sometimes pins are used to prick designs into the cutting. Education: Teaching degrees from the University of Northern Iowa, and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
