Oh, the action around here!

on Friday
I don't want to do laundry tomorrow. YUCK!

Huh, how timely is this post! I have the WHOLE house to myself this weekend. YIPPIE!!! I've gone for TWO walks and spent the rest of the time resting and doing the whole social media and blogging thing. LOVE IT! But now I miss my family and want t...

Hi Roz, Really? I'm not the only one with creaky bones at the tender age of 41? Wow! I thought I was getting old faster than people my age. Cool! Yes, I'd LOVE to try yoga. Great idea! Thanks Roz! Laura

I'm so glad I stumbled across this post. My 41-year-old body is slowing down big time. I can lose the extra 12 pounds anytime I want to but it takes A LOT more effort to do this than in the past. Also, I can't sit with my legs criss-crossed with...

Yes and no. My husband and I have a 10-year-old daughter and while neither of us had any desire to have any kids, it just happened. Now this may sound like a horrible thing to say, it isn't meant to be. I'm just being honest and stating a fact. We...

Uhhh, yes, staying home for 5 years with my daughter got old after about the 4 years into it. I was a RARE stay-at-home mom in that I was LITERALLY a stay at home mom. In order for me to stay home my husband and I made a lot of sacrifices. One of...

Reasoning doesn't help. Their minds don't understand the words too much. I know a lot of people don't like to spank their kids, but a firm swat (not beating them of course) will get their attention. Just my two cents.

I say let the kids trick-or-treat and collect all they can. Then when they aren't looking, rummage through the bowl and throw out one or two pieces a day. They won't know! Or eat it yourself! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Better yet, give it away in small amounts...

Wow, good question. Glad we don't have to choose. But since you asked I'd say try anything once because I'm sure being able to eat only 10 different things in a lifetime would get old pretty dang quick!

A little about yourself...
For a little about me, my husband and I have been married since 1992 and have a 9-year-old daughter. We also have a dog, cat and a couple of tadpoles about to sprout legs any day now. My husband and I also work full-time, which I am ever so grateful for during these economic times. Life is busy with our jobs, helping with homework, preparing meals, grocery shopping, cleaning the house. You know the drill. We aren’t any different than any other family in that respect.

While the title of my blog, MsWonka, may lead you to think this blog will only be about Chocolate, you will soon find MsWonka is only my nickname. Yes, I LOVE Chocolate (hence the nickname) and yes, I may talk about it now and then, but my goal is to talk about life’s lessons related to family, work and every day activities. I also hope to learn from those of you that read my posts and share your thoughts and ideas. It’s a give and take situation to me. I hope you agree.
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
I Twitter about everyday life and my daughter.
What are your areas of interest?
mommyhood, business, blogging, home & garden, technology, social media, crafting, twitter, work-at-home, fitness, weight loss, writing

How to Make a Professional Twitter Background Using Keynote ‘09 or Power Point

I decided to join the herd (not my usual style) and sign up for Twitter a few months ago. I had picked the brand name of “MsWonka”, so also chose this as my Twitter name. I was happy to see the name was still available.

Twitter is very user friendly in guiding you to make a Twitter profile. I filled in the blanks, updated my settings and presto, I was ready to Twitter. While I was happy with the results of my Twitter profile I had created, the blahsay background image was lacking. I messed arou… Continue

Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

Thanks! Because we are currently focusing on Lease Options, business is very good. About 60% of the people that once qualified for a mortgage no longer do, so it's nice to be part of the solution instead of the problem. :)

Have a great Monday!
