Currently, I"m out of work, trying to make sense of it all. I used to work in magazine publishing in the production end of the business. While looking for work, I write press releases for a neighbor who is an up-and-coming recording artist. I was able to get her a feature in the Arts & Entertainment section of the local paper.
I also write humor at my blog: http://thinkspin.blogspot.com (shameless self-promotion). Humor keeps me sane despite the nature of my musings. You see, I am weird in a good way, or so I've been told. I can't help what comes to mind and how often the neurons fire in my head. "Girl's Brain Gone Wild." I take off a hat and flash the top of my head.
Getting ideas is probably a lot like being a medium and having pesky spirits bother you all the time. Thankfully, I don't hear from deceased relatives. I wouldn't know what to say if one paid me a visit. Maybe something like, "You look great. You're really glowing."
I've been published in ByLine Magazine, Shroud Magazine, The Front Porch Syndicate to name a few.
