Hi everyone,
So nice to find other women who know this pain. My quick rundown:

I have been suffering PTSD since the loss of my daughter. After a picture perfect pregnancy, she was born at 42 weeks and declared "perfect." Within moments they discovered that she had an extremely rare (1 in 50 million) form of Infant Leukemia, an…

Join us on the edge…of motherhood! We’re moms. We’re proudly imperfect. And we’re all in this together. Hallmark wants to help us celebrate that during the “Edge of Motherhood” Twitter Party!
There’s no doubt about it: motherhood is a magical and r…

That's great... Glad to iknow he is doing well! I went to school in Ottawa, Ottawa U but now I am back in TO, actually Mississauga. Tell him I say hello!!
Yes, I did!! How is he?? YOu are in Ottawa right? I am his friend on FB. He was always quite the active guy!! Very good in sports!
Great to meet you! How did you know that I went to Micheal Power?
Hi Lauren...I will always have a place in my heart for Cape Breton. IT always call to me.
I don't think you can ever lose that when your from there. It's just such a different and special place, and I love it.
I miss the fiddle music and bagpipes and step dancing etc. but I live in a part of Ontario that doesn't make me as homesick and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it here.
We also just recently purchased our own ( first) home and we are settling in a small village very much like the village I grew up in in Cape Breton, so for me now, being here, it is not that much different.
I'm a country gal through and through, I'd rather be bare footed stepping in cow patties then wearing high heeled shoes dressed up with reservations for a fancy restaurant in downtown Toronto any day. ( though I do clean up nice, and ya I wash my feet off before I put on the high heels :P)
He is doing better, waiting for the EEG results which should be in Friday! He went back to school and is still having seizures, the depakote is helping though not stopping them. The school he is in automatically assumes that he is having a behavior before a seizure and that is very aggravating but I am sure that it will work out! We went to his last football practice and he was able to help the coaches with the ball and such but you could tell he wanted on the field! Their last game is Saturday and his will be wearing his jersey and shorts and be on the bench with the team but no football.
I am going to ask his ped to order him a machine of some sort so that I can either know when he is having a seizure at night or to know that he is breathing for sure at night because I can not tell when he is having one in his sleep and his breathing is so shallow I am staying awake most the night until I pass out in exhaustion or sleep when he is at school as much as I can. Either way I need to be able to sleep when he does knowing that he is ok!
