Original post from ski like a girl. It was a long drive. A very, very, very, very long drive. I learned something about myself yesterday. My uninterrupted, road trip, drive time limit is 7 hours. Exactly 7 hours. After that I am not a happy campe...

Visiting Park City this week. I love it here, even without snow! Went for a 10 mile run this morning. Cut down on the mileage a bit because of the elevation. 6500 to 8000+ compared to Portland's sea level. I was calling it my hill run until I star...

Hi Amanda, I'm running this weekend. I'm racing in the Mt. Hood Scramble. Should be tough. I thought it would be a great way to start Father's Day. We are suppose to wear clothes that we don't mind throwing out. Crazy muddy, there is still some sn...

Original post from ski like a girl. Well I did more than survive. I won my age group and came in 4th in the masters. Yes, I am dating myself by admitting that but who cares! I am a triathlete. Here are the race results if you want to take a peek....

I try to take a yoga class 4-5 times a week. Sorry about your ankle. Recovery can be tough. I broke my arm snowboarding last year and still feel it at times. Anything were I load too much weight on it still hurts. Got the race results today and c...

If it's going to be a hotel stay I pick one with a good gym and use it! I also always travel with my yoga mat and exercise tubing. I can always come up with something to do in my hotel room. Some hotels even have exercise on demand on the TV and w...

Hi, I just did my first triathlon today. It was a tri-it. The swim is 1/4 mile, so shorter than the Sprint. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do more. I do yoga regularly. Power Vinyasa yoga in a studio that is heated to 95 degrees. It's a very...

chocolate cake and weight loss go hand in hand with Skinny Bitch in the Kitch

Original post from ski like a girl. I love those skinny bitches!!! What do chocolate cake and weight loss have to do with each other? Typically chocolate cake would be something to avoid while attempting any sort of weight loss program. Some how the skinny bitches have come up with a way to have your cake and eat it too. Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

My kids did not grow up with snow, either, in SE Asia :) My son has been skiing for several years, is a great snowboarder. He's bugging me to get started. (In the slideshow pics my son and I are in Ren garb for a daughter's wedding.)

Does your Princess ski, too? My youngest started last winter and wants to do a LOT more of it.

I'm with you, no fast food on the road. In fact, I don't do fast food at all. Hmm...come to think of it, I don't do restaurants unless they are 'happy', using good oils such as coconut, olive, or ghee (NO soy or canola or vegetable oils!) and non-factory farming sort of ingredients. So...I don't do those often!

For years I've carried my own food along, always when I'm running errands in town (do won't get stuck with no good options) and have come up with ways to avoid restaurants, even when in hotels w/o kitchens. Devious, I am, ha!

Blessings...
