Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

PPS: We invite all bloggers to join the TwitterMoms Blog Network. It's a free, easy way to build blog traffic.;

About Root & Sprout

Readers of the Root & Sprout parenting resource website believe the relationship between parent and child is one that grows through mutual love and respect. With gentle, hands-on parenting, we can give our children the foundational roots to help them sprout.

Root & Sprout publishes 1 to 2 new articles daily on topics of interest to parents that span pregnancy through the teen years. And because all article topics are selected and written by the Root & Sprout audience, readers get the information that matters most to them presented in a friendly and informative format.

I Might Be a Kill Joy

Today is my kids' last day of school; and while I'm mostly celebrating with them, there is a little part of me that is dreading what's to come.

My kids are not mellow people.

"They're kids!" you say. "Kids are an active lot."

Yes, I'm aware of that. But my kids happen to transcend what I believe to be "normal active". In fact, I've had many a persons who've met me and my husband, and then ou… Continue

Reform

My seven-year-old son, Jacob, recently spent a few days with his grandparents. My in-laws are some of the most patient and kid-friendly people I have ever met, and they are lovely individuals. They also have very good intentions and want only the best for their grandchildren.

For those who don't know, I should preface this post with the explanation that Jacob has Sensory Processing Disorder. While the disorder manifests differently in each individual, Jacob is most sensitive to food textures (a… Continue

That Thing Called "Balance"

It just doesn't exist.

I can't believe I'm about to admit this because it goes against how I'd normally behave, but I worked through dinner the other night. And it wasn't as though I was working in the next room. My "office" is currently my dining room table, so I sat in front of my laptop (dinner perched precariously on legs) while my husband and three children ate around me. What's worse, I was fully aware of the sideways glances from all of them. I could just hear their silent questioning, "… Continue
