I saw a little boy dressed up as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Saturday night! It was great. He was "plumped" up with rolls of Charmin and pillows. He waddled when he walked.

I am getting that day to myself this week! My friends asked me to property sit at their beach cottages. Guess who is going to be alone for the first time in 10 years! Wow. Still don't know what I am going to do...sleep, read, drink some wine, walk...

A little about yourself...: SAHM/WAHM, writer, blogger, Charlotte Editor for www.savvysource.com. I volunteer with the local Literacy Council working with 2nd graders who are at risk of failing the End-Of-Grade tests in 3rd grade to improve their reading skills. I am secretary of my son's PTA, a voracious reader, and studied photography for 4 years.

I love crafts, even though I am not that crafty, and antiquing. I consider myself an audiophile and feel that every genre of music has something to offer.

Oh,and I don't like to talk about myself...I have a super hard time filling out "about you" sections!

I'm writing to introduce you to a new website I launched for Charlotte parents last month. Charlotte TRACKS, located online at www.charlottetracks.com, is an acronym for "Tools, Resources and Activities for Carolina Kids." As a local mom of three and a former magazine editor, I've come across lots of great resources for kids in the Charlotte region, so I decided to put them all on ONE website for local families to use. Charlotte TRACKS is also a social networking site for parents, so those who join can post blogs, forums, calendar events and other information for other parents to see. I started Triangle TRACKS at www.triangletracks.com for parents in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region a year ago, and it's doing very well out there, so I decided I would start one for Charlotte as well.
