I have a 9 year old daughter and she has had a hard time making friends at school. The girls these days are so exclusive and it seems their mothers pick their friends. We had been doing outside activities to make up for the loneline...

My youngest and I were in Grass Valley last weekend for my grandson's birthday celebration, on their organic farm. Love it there and plan to move that direction in the near future. They rode horses as part of the celebration, a day crammed with crazy activities. I think they had to drink a fizzy drink, jump on the horse and ride an obstacle course and hustle back. And lots of other stuff, such as driving a vehicle, blindfolded, in the desert, ha! Ages 10 - 15. They had an absolute blast. Glad I wasn't there to watch.
Raised in Visalia??? My DH went to Fresno State, too, but I'm sure many more moons ago than you :) He was raised here, I was raised in AZ. Didn't move here til we'd been in SE Asia for over a decade.
Should have been good weather for your Disneyland and LA Zoo excursion last week, right? Was that to see her grandparents or yours?
Thank you SO much for sharing that, Lisa. I am very glad to hear you feel so blessed to have her. I delight intensely in my own still-at-home daughter. Oldest four grown and gone and I am very glad I took to heart the advice of treasuring the moment when they were small. Cuz it is so true that you turn around and they're grown. Oh, one of them in in CO, too :)
