Just found you guys. My 3 year old with Autism has severe myopia and is at great risk of Glaucoma. Something about the nerves in his right eye are very concerning. We just lost what feels like our 2 millionth pair of glasses! Uggghhhh! So annoying!
I have a gluten free giveaway up on my blog right now!
I'm hosting a giveaway for a Prizepack of Betty Crocker Gluten Free Dessert mixes on my blog The Bon Bon Gazette.

Sorry it's taken so long, but I'd like to welcome you to Dance Moms! Be sure to introduce yourself on the group's wall and feel free to start your own discussions or jump in on any of the ones already going. We're collecting signatures for awareness (see link below). This illness struck me at age 13. I'm now 40.
This illness affects 89 million women/girls worldwide. It's more common than AIDS and cancer (per Ohio State University Medical Center http://medicalcenter.osu.edu/patientcare/healthcare_services/gynecological_health/gynecological_statistics/Pages/index.aspx)
We are trying to obtain as many signatures as we possibly can!

We've had many strangers step up to the plate and sign our petition despite not having any endometriosis in their family/friends.
Too many women are suffering in silence or suffering without even having a proper diagnosis/name for what's causing their suffering.
My daughter was eye patched first. Her esotropia was evident from day one (newborn). Patching didn't work and her eye turning was very severe. Her awesome pediatric opth. suggested surgery sooner rather than later (the sooner it's addressed, the better). She had surgery at 9 months old. Doc had warned us there was about a 50% chance she'd need eye surgery again before age 18. After the first surgery, she got glasses. (In her case, glasses wouldn't have helped presurgery. While we were hoping we were done w/surgery, she had a 2nd surgery about a year after the 1st. Her doc doesn't take surgery lightly. This was necessary. One surgery did the inner eye muscles; the other did the outer eye muscles. She's now 8 years old and going great. She wears glasses and has needed several Rx changes for her lenses. The improvement is huge. Looking back at baby pictures, it's just amazing what this doctor was able to do! :)
Hmm. That was odd. Clicked to join grp. Would not let me comment. Then clicked upper right where it said 1 comment pending & it let me in here. Odd. Now how it works on other twittermoms groups I've used. Anyway, looks like it's working now. I'll try to add & see if it takes...
Hi - I just thought I'd drop by after visiting the autism group. I'm new to twitter moms and am not sure if it's ok to just leave a message... but here goes!
I have a son with autism - that was what brought me to your page - but then i noticed your photo above of your children in front of the sign and wondered if it was near your home. I live in the UK and we have nothing like that over here!
best wishes
Susi
