oh! wow. Well, as we say in the south, 'bless your heart!' Thanks for your honesty. I am sure you have a lot to share that would help and bless others!
That sounds like an incredible career/life purpose, Michael. I have always hated it when people say "Oh, children are resilient" after bad things happen. We can all use help in building up our resiliency.

Welcome to twittermoms. You are offering a great service to people. I have been resilient through many challenges in my life and agree it is an excellent/necessary skill to have.
I help children, youth, adults and families develop and deepen their resiliency. That is our ability to problem solve, innovate and bounce back when confronted with adversity.
Why?
Resiliency skills impact our safety, marks in school, graduation rates, attendance at school and in the work place, happiness, level of health, and length of life. Just to name a few.
How?
We use a simplified language and positive asset approach that helps people:
~ develop their awareness and get more engaged
~ a simplified resiliency model so it is easy to understand
~ help them understand both the process and the skills required
~ assess their resiliency factors,
~ assess their stress-hardiness levels,
~ facilitate action
Develop their resiliency and stress-hardiness skills.
These are skills essential for the success of individuals, families, teams, organizations and communities.
Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear. Not absence of fear.
