A little about yourself...
I have three wonderfully crazy kids and the most supportive husband, who has encouraged me to start this adventure called Magaby's. I have been sewing since I can remember with my mom as she made some pretty incredible gowns and fun clothes for my sisters and me. I started making clothes for my Barbies and decorating her 'Dream House', dust ruffles and all:) I have been sewing ever since! After we were pleasantly surprised with the realization of becoming parents, I made everything for her nursery, extra blankets, pillows, her first Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday, Valentines outfits, and then some...all before she was born. I didn't sleep much the last trimester, so I had to do something! I continue to make all three of my kiddos 'fun' stuff and just want to share it with anyone who also appreciates original clothes and gifts made with lots of LOVE! As for my sewing studio, a great big thanks again to my husband and kids as I gradually kicked them out of the space and completely took over:) I promise to let them keep their rooms and most of their closets!

Thank you for the add! Wow, I checked out your Etsy shop. Your work is truly original and BEAUTIFUL! I too love sewing/creating and looking at your bits really inspired me (I actually brought my sewing machine/knitting needles on the road!) I am a Twittermoms Featured Contributor writing about family travel - hope you will swing by my column (every Friday) if you fancy a tea-break! All the best, Alice :-)

Thanks Miranda. I think I will sign up for classes at a fabric store that will allow me to use one of their machines until I figure out what I want. I do belong to Costco so that's one route I can take. I will definitely read your blog post!

Hi Miranda. Love your items. I will have to keep them in mind for gifts. One of my goals for this year is to learn how to sew. I see that you make all of your own items which is impressive. Any recommendations on a first sewing machine? Thanks!
