Meeting Garrett's Great Grandparents on his Birthday

On December 26, 2002 I became a mother. Garrett was born at 1:19 pm the day after Christmas, although he was trying to come on Christmas day. He tells me know in his infinite wisdom that he was waiting in the clouds with the other baby angels and wanted to have his own day and be one day younger than Jesus. And so it was...

On December 26, 2008 we met his birthfather's grandparents; Garrett's great-grandparents. Dr. Gerald Brown and Mrs. Gaylen Brown. AMAZING! What and experience.

The VLOG Experiment Begins

HeartMommy has begun her career as a film maker with the FLIP digital camera.
As I have asked all my friends, family and the world, go easy on the reviews since I am new at this whole thing. Coming out of the Dark Ages and on to all the Blogging, Facebook, iPod, Flickr and so on has made HeartMommy have brain implosion.

Blog and VLOG-the FUN

What a wonderful experience I have had in the past week. After reading about a FLIP camera offer on Twitter for expectant and new moms, I wrote and asked if adoptive/birthmoms could be a part of the offer. YES! They gave me the great honor of receiving this amazing digital video camera to document adoption related stories to VLOG about. What is a VLOG? Well, it is a BLOG but in video- YouTube like...but on your own BLOG site.

Thank a Veteran Today!

Today is Veteran's Day. At war or at peace time our service men and women serve their country. Many are overseas and many more are here in the US; still serving, reservist or retired.

My personal thanks go to Major Darrel Robinson, USMC. He is my brother-in-law, served 3 tours of duty, and now works for the USMC in the South East Region. Almost everyday, my son will say, I love Uncle Darrel, he keeps us safe and is a good man.
