I am also the parent of a child with autism and agree that one of the best things you can do as a mom is to network with other moms who are in a similar situation. Last spring I started a foundation called the Autism Science Foundation to raise mo...

Do you find it easy or difficult to balance between career and home?

The ability to balance both career and home for me completely depends on the schedule I have for work. If I can smoothly arrange to be at work and the kids safely taken care of either at school or care prov… Continue

A Mom's Perspective.. Autism

A Mom's Perspective...

My son “Buddy” has high-functioning autism. He is considered high-functioning because he’s not in a special classroom and is able to perform basic functions and is verbal. If you met him you would never believe he had any special needs, but as many families with a special needs child would say, come to my house some night and see how it’s different. Buddy also lives with ADHD, anxiety, asthma, allergies, reflux, and a language processing disorder. If we had the time, I co… Continue

Hi Lea,

I'd love to be featured as your Twittermom of the week, but I think it's the subject of my interview you might be more interested. Jean is the mother of Buddy, who has autism. I just started interviewing and then blogging for moms from all walks of life.

I'm not sure if Jean has a Twittermoms account, but I'd be happy to connect you if you're interested.

Thank you!

Stacey
