Agree. I think its the maturity level of the child. Are they responsible enough to keep up with the phone. Also I too at one time felt there was no need to a child to have a cell phone but have changed my mind with the increase of child abductions.…
I think maybe 12 or 13 sounds about right but before that seems way too early. My son is six and already asking for one so it's going to be a long road to 12...
When they have manners and are respectful, they can have a cell phone. I hate seeing kids neglecting their friends, family, and duties for text messaging.
I agree. When they are old enough to use one and are away from you, I think it is great to be able to reach them anytime. I am a worry wart when it comes to my kids! I love being able to text my 14 year old daughter and ease my mind that she is fine!

I can't justify a cell phone unless they are driving. That is how we did it with out oldest daughter and our 14 year old will be the same.

Thoughts on the week.
I thought I'd just post here how I did on my personal goals for the week. My business has a system where we should strive to get 8 points every day for various activities that will encourage growth and success. Some points are pretty easy to achieve, others are much more difficult but have a higher value.
Monday - 7 points not bad.
Tue - 8 points let's celebrate.
Wed - 8 points celebration time
Thur - 3 points oops, what happened???
Fri - 6 points just ok

Hubby still surprises me
On Monday, hubby brought up the money issue with my business again. It comes up every so often that I'm not yet making as much as I would be if I went back to working a regular job. This time I finally told him that I was doing everything I could to make the business HUGELY successful but that it takes time.
