The CEO/Founder of the Caribbean American Breast Cancer Organization (CabcoUSA) wears several hats. This quintessential woman is the daughter of the late great award winning calypso legend, Rafael deLeon aka The Roaring Lion. She is a breast cancer survivor and an award winning poet and author, the 'Woman of the Year 2006, and she was listed as one of the Top 100 AA Women in Literature.' Ms. deLeon- Lewis is dedicating her efforts to empower the Caribbean and African American Community in its fight against cancer.Through her confrontational poetry, her songwriting, her motivational speaking, and through media, she boldly challenges the enemy- cancer.
This breast cancer activist is also the Brooklyn Team Leader of the Legislative Ambassadors for the American Cancer Society and the P.R person for Mahogany Sisters Network,Inc. Queens, New York chapter of the Sisters Network, Inc. She also hosts one of Blogtalkradio's featured shows- DeLeon Dialogue, a show that raises breast cancer awareness in women of color everywhere.
