Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

Hi Priyangani! Thanks for the wonderful post you made in our group. Indeed, kids do get more focused and smarter, and emotionally connected I would add. I couldn't agree more. Please share more stories. We all love to get inspired. :)

Thank you very much for the compliments Lakshmi.

I’m really glad to know you and appreciate the great work that you are doing to help children who have autism and related developmental challenges.

It’s all depends on the parents.
As parents, we must always encourage our children to participate in normal activities as much as possible even though the child feels challenged. .
Both parents and children need to have a good understanding of the causes and management of their allergies. With appropriate treatment, the great majority of children with allergy symptoms can lead normal lives.

By my experience I know that qualities such as self-discipline and personal responsibility are frequently learnt through struggles with any chronic illness.
Take a positive approach to any problem Always try to avoid the negative aspects and remember that the majority of children improve as they grow older.

Keep up the good work.....because you are definitely making a difference.

All the best!

Hi Priyangi.. I could have written your profile for myself! I too left my fantastic job to be at home with my dd. I am trying to get help for people in Bahrain for Autism and related developmental issues. The reason is that doctors are quick to label children as autistic when they are just allergic to certain things which make them behave differently. We scrutinize our children too much and I hate this attitude of expecting all children to be in a certain way, which they prefer. This drains the parents are they are unaware of what is really the matter. Love your work and honored to know you.
Best regards, Lakshmi

Thank you, Priyangani. Will have to look up those authors, don't think I've heard of a singe one!

My daughter is wading thru an audio book now, Tolkein's Two Towers. Only 14 CDs, ha! Fellowship of the Ring was 16. I read the Hobbit as a kid, but never could get into the books following.

Blessings!

Was in San Fran for several days, visiting my fourth child (third daughter), wonderful time with her!
She loves helping people get past addictions. And she loves living in San Francisco. Such a fun/cool place. Ever been?

What kind of fiction does your daughter enjoy? Mine loved the Redwall series, and Harry Potter, and all Tamora Pierce books, among many others...

Blessings!

Thank you, Priyangani. The best thing for me today was meeting the wonderful woman who will be fostering the kittens we rescued :)

How old is your daughter? Mine loves reading and all manner of creating. And animals. And fencing. What about yours?

Blessings!
