I believe that by teaching our kids to cook & bake early it will cut back on them relying on fast food later on. They can learn healthy choices & also have a say in what they eat. We will share recipes made by our kids & family cooking traditions!

I don't believe Autism is a curse, I am religious but I feel God won't put any more on you than you can handle....he has always helped me through the autism thing!!!

When my eldest was doing grade 12, we studied drama and plays. The book we used was "The Stage and the School". We also studied economics and gov't. The government teachings mainly consisted of her reading weekly magazines like Time, Macleans, etc...

http://www.worldbook.com/wb/Students?curriculum This gives a good scope and sequence for all grades. We have used Sonlight all the way and enjoy their approach.

My favorite Economics and American Government is the Uncle Eric Series which includes "Whatever Happened to Justice" and "Whatever Happened to Penny Candy."
