My step son is 15, but we still take time every visit to go to the dog park (I have two dogs) and to one or more parks to feed the ducks/geese/swans, etc. My best friend visited last year with her 18 month old and we toured Fairy Tale Town. I was...

I loved this article you recommended:

http://www.mealsmatter.org/CookingForFamily/Planning/Articles/Cooking-with-kids.aspx

It's a great reference for cooking with kids and matches up pretty much perfectly to my kids ages and kitchen skills. I still let Alex (10) do a few more things than Sophia (6), but they both love trying all sorts of cooking techniques.

Starting Christmas Shopping, thanks to Common Sense With Money blog

So I'm reaching out to a bunch of parenting and money saving blogs in advance of our back-to-school lunch campaign for Meals Matter (www.mealsmatter.org). I was reviewing Commonsensewithmoney.com and found a post about a wireless weather forecaster from Bushnell. Apparently Walmart has marked these puppies down from $99 to $50 and Bushness is offering a $50 mail in rebate. Here's the link http://www.commonsensewithmoney.com/2009/07/free-bushnell-weather-forcaster-walmart/

He's a great kid and I love him to pieces. He's a lot like his dad in the not wanting to talk about feelings kind of way, but he sent me a message loud and clear recently.

He added me as a friend on his Facebook page earlier in the year. I had not visited his page in a while, but I did today when I noticed he changed his profile picture… Continue
