Tell them if you are the one that has to clean it up you will put it in garbage bags and give it away or they will have to wait a long time to get it back. You must always follow through with what you threaten or they will be on to your number and out wit you.

I am a mother of two girls who are 3 and 5, they keep me pretty busy. I also work part-time a few days a week. I like watching movies, spending time with friends when I can, drinking wine (lots of it, kidding), traveling - even if it is just around Ohio.

How do you get your preschool age kids to pick up after themselves and to listen to you?

My 3 and 5 year old girls can make a disaster in their playroom and it ends up everywhere else in no time. When they are done playing we ask, beg, bribe, etc. to get them to clean up and they still won't budge. I don't get it and I am at my wits end as to what to do about it. Any ideas or suggestions of things I can try? I am not good at disciplining, because I have just not found anything that works. PLEASE HELP!
