Hi there! I am also located in Orange County and have two boys; one who is six and has moderate-severe autism, and one who is five and a wonderful "big" brother. Hope to hear more about your support programs for families.

What, my picture doesn't get bigger on Twitter? I'll have to go click on it there now. ha ha! I love reading that your husband is, among other things, your "tech support." My hubby's definitely my tech support, too. We (old friends with whom he has worked at many start-ups & gotten jobs for, etc., as well as me, of course) call him Alpha Geek. LOL!

Welcome to twittermoms! The rumors are true -- I started this place. We've got an AWESOME group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so make yourself at home. If you haven't already, check out the groups you find interesting, check out the discussions, view profiles of other moms, add friends, and start twittering with some great new people.
PS: You can let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself button.

Glad you joined Twittermoms! It is a great group. I follow you on twitter and look forward to getting to know you better.
I'm a writer, wife and mother of three children. The two youngest children have high-functioning autism and the oldest is gifted. I advocate for autism awareness and education, as well as acceptance. I view autism as a growth process and the opportunity to connect parents for support as a privilege.
I'm passionate about social media and building community with women bloggers (yeah, ok and some men, too) . I love meeting new people.
I say I am "mostly sane" and what keeps me that way are God, my husband, Starbucks and Chai tea, in that order. My oldest daughter just turned 14, my middle guy is 9 and the "egg in the middle of the pancake sandwich" and my littlest daughter is 7. I've been married 18-19 years, honestly, I really have kind of forgotten, not in a bad way, but in the way you come to love your old shoes or your favorite pair of jeans that make you feel so good..and sexy. He is my best friend and tech support, the 4th "J" in my life. We have a couple of cats we are slaves to, and live a pretty comfy life. . I have been homeschooling for 5 years. I wonder why I didn't start sooner, because I love it. I was born to teach my children.
