Hi Terri, it has been many years since I was in PR, when I was 16. LOL! I would love to go again with my family, hopefully business will take me there soon!
My fourth birth was attended by a midwife from the teency island of Mokil. Will have to tell the whole story one day soon. A few days after the birth I found out that on Mokil, pregnant women were rounded up to play in the ocean morning and evening, as part of their regimen. I thought that sounded so cool. And that none every uttered so much as a cry during labor. Just the accepted way there. I felt honored that she deemed me the first white woman she'd ever seen deliver 'their' way :)
Ahh...the western world has so robbed women of so much of the beauty of pregnancy and labor, yes?
