Where on Long Island? I lived most of my life there although I'm currently in Manhattan. I grew up in Valley Stream and then raised my kids in Plainview until my younger one started college.

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

A little about yourself...
The Soap Buffet is a family company run by wife and husband team Joan and Brian. We are the parents of three teenagers. We have a 19-year-old son and 16-year-old twin girls. The idea for The Soap Buffet was born about 1 ½ years ago after we had purchased some homemade soaps and fell in love with them. No longer wanting to use store bought soaps that are full of detergents and very drying for your skin, we decided since the kids are grown it was the right time to start our business.

All the soaps here at The Soap Buffet are made in small batches to ensure their freshness and are personally tested. All the natural glycerin remains in our soaps unlike commercial soap companies that remove the glycerin and sell it to cosmetic companies. We use only the highest quality oils and fragrance in our handmade soaps.

Our goal is to introduce as many people as we can to homemade soaps. Once you have tried homemade soap and have experienced the lather and creaminess, it is very hard to return to commercially made soaps.

Our soaps are available in many different fragrances. We also sell mini muffin soaps, which is a great way to try homemade without having to purchase the whole bar. This year we have added Lip Balm products to our line and are hoping to add more products during the year.

Feel free to stop by anytime!

Thanks,

The Soap Buffet
