- A little about yourself...
- I have been sewing for over 25 years. I love designing for children, pets,window treatments, home decor as well as machine embroidery. I also make props for photography studios.
We are owned by 10 ferrets, 1 lop ear house bunny, 2 cats, a dog and 1 orphaned baby squirrel that we are rehabbing. My son is 6 and my daughter 18. We live in a 100 year old Victorian we are restoring

Shirring~anyone like a tutorial?
I had a couple friends wanting me to explain shirring to them so I was trying to figure out if it was worth it to do a video or photo tutorial. Could anyone use a tutorial on how to shir? (on fabric)
I often use shirring not only on dresses and tops but find it useful to replace elastic casing on baby and childrens wear.
You can often do the edge of your fabric with a rolled hem and then do 2 rows of shirring in place of the casing, this creates a softer and more comfortable leg opening for bab… Continue
