Read anything amazing lately? Looking for a book with substance...

Have you read THE MISTS OF AVALON by Marion Zimmerman? Or WRESTLING WITH OUR INNER ANGELS by Nancy Kehoe?

Profile Information

A little about yourself...
Was Mom to six, two adopted, three stepchildren, one foster. Have been teaching 52 years, kindergarten and now with graduate students. Founded an alternative education, personal development & therapy center for women (& men) who wanted to learn & make use of the New Psychology of Women (Wellesley MA, Research Centers on the Psychology of Women, founded @1973 by Jean Baker Miller M D.) Now have three grand-children, two boys, a 12 year old, a one year old & an almost eight year old girl

I have major concerns about mother-in-law to daughter-in-law relationships, including my own. For years I heard about problems between mothers & daughters & experienced my own with my mother and daughters. Now, I hear from far too many of my older & younger friends & contacts about even worse woman-to-woman problems: in the family, at work, in school, anywhere. I want to try to see what we women might do to help ourselves and one another so that this does not continue. Perhaps if we openly acknowledge the problem and our own experiences it would be a start.

These are beliefs and hopes that I have:

that women's major--and as yet not very well utilized--skills, talents and aptitudes equip us to be in many, many more leadership and influential positions on this Earth;
that women must speak up and speak out more about the conduct of public, social and business systems as well as schools, family services, etc.;
that we are, whether we acknowledge it or not, whether we physically give birth or not, the Mothers of our world;
that the Four Stages of Motherhood are not recognized and respected: Beginners (Moms), More Experienced (Grand-Moms) and Great, or even a few Great-Great, Grand-Moms;
that if all Four Generations worked together, we could change our Earth for the better, incredibly more quickly
that we need to begin making those changes by respecting and valuing one another more.

Personally, I want very much to know more about what each of the four generations of women have to say..about their own positives & negatives with respect to relationships with other women and/or what they have observed.

If we are willing to pool our knowledge, our successes and failures, our joys and sorrows concerning woman-woman matters, I believe we will all be healthier, more fit and amazed at what we can accomplish. What do you think and believe?
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
Whatever concerns possibilities for improving life for myself, those I relate to and/or have relationships with, environmental concerns, joys and simple pleasures, spiritual/spirit-uplifting books, articles, movies, stories, paintingsetc.
What are your areas of interest?
mommyhood, business, home & garden, special needs children, technology, social media, twitter, the arts, work-at-home, politics, green living, religion, fitness, movies, vegetarian/vegan, writing, law, decorating
