Oh, the action around here!

That is great! Does Greek Orthodox consecrate gay marriage?

Rachel, we've been on a similar spiritual journey in our family. I'm concerned, too, about giving my girls that weekend "full stop" experience of focusing outward on community and caring for others. I haven't been in a UU church in many years, but...

Hi Rachel, That is an excellent post. Of the two if us, my husband is definitely the more spiritual one and he too searches for the perfect spiritual place (whatever that is). For a year when our daughter was about 8ish, the two of them would go t...

A little about yourself...
I'm a work-at-home mother of three who left a successful career as a publicist to follow my dream of mainstreaming eco-friendly living. I blog at http://mommygreenest.wordpress.com and launched www.ecostiletto.com in July 2008 with daily updates on eco-friendly fashion, beauty, lifestyle and parenting designed to "stiletto-size" your life. I've also appeared on “Access Hollywood,” “Hollywood Green” and “Good Day L.A.” and I regularly write and speak about reducing your carbon footprint from an Ugg boot to a Manolo. But the most fun might be the eco-swag giveaways that I get to organize: This year, we're giving away a free pair (or pairs) of eco-friendly shoes worth $500 or more each and every month. I'm head over heels (pun intended) for January's $700 haute hemp boots, but until we get funding, I'll have to settle for writing about them.
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
eco, organic, sustainable, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, parenting, health
What are your areas of interest?
mommyhood, business, blogging, home & garden, twitter, work-at-home, green living, fashion and beauty, fitness, vegetarian/vegan, writing

Mommy Greenest Gets Religion

Can Halloween Exist Without High Fructose Corn Syrup and Styrofoam Gravestones?

In the interest of full disclosure, I have to tell you that I actually wrote the majority of this post last year. And not that I'm so brilliant or anything, but I wanted to run it again to highlight the fact that despite a bout of… Continue

I Am The Cloudy Cup

I am not a religious person. In fact, I’m not sure I even believe in god. Growing up, my religious education was diverse, to say the least: Native American ceremonies with my dad, singing in the Episcopal church choir with one friend, celebrating Passover with another. As an adult, I learned a… Continue

It May Be The Happiest Place on Earth, But It Sure Isn’t The Greenest

Despite the fact that Tinkerbell may be Disney’s new poster girl for energy efficiency and tween stars like Dylan and Cole Sprouse offer carbon footprint reducing advice between “Suite Life on Deck” shows, the O.G. Mouse House is far from environmentally conscious.
I found out first hand this week when my fami… Continue

I came here specifically for the mothers who are interested in losing the baby fat and getting back in shape, the ones who are pregnant and looking for extra support during pregnancy, as well as for the empty nest mothers who are looking to pamper themselves and restore their pre-child figure. :-) If you are, let me know and I'd be happy to provide you with more information about the company and answer any questions. Glad to see you on Twitter Moms! Sounds like you're a busy mom! My children are both in college now (Stanford Medical School and Claremont McKenna College) and I'm reaching out to share some tips that worked for me when I was raising little ones.

I set up a preschool for my daughters that set them up to be top of their kindergarten classes (and all the way through school). By inviting a few other students to join the program (for a fee), all of my expenses were covered so I had the best preschool for free! Besides enjoying the ability to set up the perfect program, one that I developed specifically for my daughters, I also received prepared dinners, a clean house, and folded laundry at the end of the day! All for free.

I've written a book to show other super moms how to set this up for their families. It's called "The Working Mother's Guide to FREE Child Care in Your Home!" I also offer consultation to help you get started and to be there when you need support, guidance, or just a friend to talk to!

Whether you're a stay-at-home or a working mom, this program gives you the freedom to have your cake and eat it too! I enjoyed being a mom, working in a career I love, and watching my girls blossom with a program that I set up just for them. They now tell me that it was the best gift I could have given them!

I love that you are part of the green world. I too have been going green for sometime and its wonderful to be a part of this growing community. If you are interested in green related ideas there is a growing community called, greenwala.com, where I've been a member. There are green contests, blogs, shopping, and more. For each new member the site plants a tree and they have a great social responsibility aspect of the site as well. Thanks.
