Wow, there's so many to choose from! But we love the Dolphin excursion in Cozumel. Depending on when you sail though, the ship may skip the Mexico ports due to the swine flu.

This is my book proposal and parent "survey" (attached below, hope I did it right). Be warned, the whole title to Ch 10 is "Mom, do you like working in a whorehouse? That's warehouse, son, with an A". My son actually asked me that and I thought it a good issue to discuss since working in and out of the home has more implications for sped moms. I have a thick skin, so any and all comments are welcome!! I want to present the truth so other moms know they aren't alone.

A little about yourself...

I'm an editor, blogger and mom to two yummy kids, Max, 6, and Sabrina, 4. Max has mild cerebral palsy—he had a stroke at birth, and he has his challenges but he has basically defied the odds. I blog about mommy life and what it's like to parent a special needs kid. I love: travel, documentaries, hiking, photography, The Office, iced coffee all year round, anything by David Sedaris, squeezing the rolls of fat on babies' thighs, theonion.com, dancing, baklava, Miles Davis, Chopin, HGTV (er, excluding Simply Quilts), pink lipstick, The New Yorker, postsecret.com, pestering my husband (Dave, quit reading this and go fix the faucet!), mimosas, sushi, blogging in the wee hours.

A great family-friendly vacation

I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for good vacay spots that both the kids and my husband and I will enjoy. We just tried a good one: South Seas Island Resort, in Captiva, Florida. The resort is a breathtaking 330 acres, with lots of pools and a kids club, plus beaches filled with gorgeous shells.
