Sounds like your weight gain is perfect. I always tried for 35 lbs but never quite made it. Of course, the weight always came off cuz of breastfeeding (not token breastfeeding, ha!)
The week I had my 2nd (normal weight) baby, another woman had her baby in a birthing room at the OB's office. The OB and his wife helped her deliver her 13+ lb baby, naturally! It did take a long time and all their savvy-ness. That baby's weight was mind-boggling to me...
Continued blessings on the rest of your waiting time :)
Both my beloved stepmom and one of my daughters are holistic nutritionists and we've benefited SO much from this way of preparing food. Did you see the book recommends at Nourishing Moms? SUCH an exciting time for you, yes. What are you most appreciating about this trimester?
Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Welcome to Nourishing Moms! And Mommyhood, in general!
I also worked as a therapist with autistic children and at a Montessori child care center. In both cases, I was working with kids under 6. It was such a blessing. And really helped prepare me for motherhood!
Born and raised in N. California, I moved to L.A. about seven years ago. I worked as a behavior therapist for autistic children for many years. I have also worked as a Montessori preschool teacher and a reading tutor to at risk children. I've been married for a few years to an awesome and talented guy. We are expecting our first child. We bought our L.A. home in 2007 and remodeled it from the ground up. I love music, art, mid century modern furniture and architecture, exploring this amazing city, spending time with my adorable dog and preparing for our new baby!
