A little about yourself...
There are many words I've used to describe myself through the years - the crazy one, daredevil, dreamer, lover, fighter, performer, believer, skeptic, mother, writer - but I think the best word is hunter, because I'm on a quest to find the real me. I've compromised a lot in my life and, along the way lost touch with some of the things that were important to me. I'm finally taking a step back for myself. It's time to become Ivy, and to figure out what exactly that means. Life if an occasion, so I'm rising to it and having a lot of fun along the way! Rock steady and never forget who you are inside!
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
My journey of my return to music and the misadventures of my first non-fiction book. Of course this all happens while trying to control a 2-year-old insomniac and build a home business. I try to keep things on the lighter side of life. It's more fun that way (otherwise, what's the point?)

I stuffed my head into the couch pillow attempting to mute yet another coughing spell when a little hand tapped me on the shoulder.

Soldiers serving abroad have many needs, but one of the ones that comes at the top of their wish list, are cards to send home to their loved ones. Most soldiers are serving in remote locations with little available in the way of luxuries or basics like writing materials. This gives the soldiers a way to celebrate the occasions they’re missing.

Rather than shop the isles at Hallmark, we have called in the favors of artist friends and are providing beautiful, original art cards made especially for them, to theses brave and wonderful men and women as our way of saying
thanks.

We’ll send these to any active service member through eMail our Military, and soon you’ll be able to purchase a set to have sent by MOM to a deserving soldier or you can purchase them for your own use! We’re so excited to be providing these beautiful art cards to people who deserve only the best for sacrificing so much - time away from the ones they love.

How can you help? We need your original art scanned and sent to us or one card that we can scan. All the details are on the site (see below) or email if you have questions.

Special thanks to the artists for sharing their amazing talents and eMail our Military for supporting this effort.
