Kelli Schmith Self-Employed: Ready or Not?

At last, the self-employed worker goes mainstream. As moms, we're pioneers in this area because we've long-understood the value of owning our time and destiny. It's too soon to look fondly at the recession and give it credit for accelerating the process, but give it time. The freelance life is exhilarating, thrilling, and stimulating. It can also be frustrating, maddening, lonely, and shocking (at tax time). If self-employment is new to you, take a deep breath and shore up your resources (in th… Continue

Tammy NY & LA Mom Bloggers Wanted

I'm new here to TwitterMoms but I know this is the right place to find who I'm looking for :) I am the editor or A Mom in Red High Heels. (http://amominredhighheels.com). I write about beauty and fashion for moms, specifically tackling the special needs of a mom: lack of time, lack of budget and lack of sleep! I am often invited to beauty events in NY and LA. While I'd love to be a bi-coastal writer, a young family limits that! I am nearest to LA so I occasionally get there for events but I'd l… Continue

Amy Sent it, now need to forget it

Well, I just sent in my book proposal. There, I said it. Now I have to forget that I sent it, go on with life and pretend that I won't be checking my email like a maniac. I am thrilled to be here and be able to talk to people about this. Writing is such personal, private work. If you want to be published, you have to write in such a way that people feel moved to read more. They don't have the same sense of urgency to find out what you have to say, that you have in getting it out of your head.… Continue

I also need someone who would write on self esteem issues or becoming a woman of God for the website. This column would only be needed every other month or so. I need reliable, committed Christian women who can… Continue
