ecostilettor I Am The Cloudy Cup

I am not a religious person. In fact, I’m not sure I even believe in god. Growing up, my religious education was diverse, to say the least: Native American ceremonies with my dad, singing in the Episcopal church choir with one friend, celebrating Passover with another. As an adult, I learned a… Continue

Jillian Livingston Defining My Mommy Blogging Journey

I am in my seventh month of writing my Blog and similar to Julie Powell, in the movie Julie and Julia, I am trapped in a sea of passion and insecurities as I try to ascertain my purpose and direction. In all of this self-analysis I have deduced that my writing has become a reflection of my spiritual journey as a wife and a mother. It has helped me to live in the present more completely and spiritually then ever before. Every nuance, every impressionable expression, every tribute to life, is div… Continue

Suzette C. Boyette Back from Deepak Chopra's Journey Into Healing event

Tomorrow will be a week since I've been back from Journey Into Healing and I have to say how wonderful I feel! I am so energized with what I learned about meditation, yoga, and the Ayurveda practice. There were over 180 people from all over world who came and their vision of health and peace is so admirable. Stories of what brought them to this part of their journey were so interesting. What stood out the most for me was my overall perception of life. What is truly important... how we must cher… Continue

Allison O'Neill Meditation – a tool for the super successful

When you mention meditation to some people their eyes glaze over and you can tell they are thinking “oh no, one of these weirdos” but meditation does not deserve such a freaky reputation. If you are one of the sceptics, ask yourself what you actually know about meditation. If you have never tried it then you are not qualified to comment. Meditation is not just for hippys or people on ‘vegan retreats’. It is a tool that the super successful use to be exceptional. It is nothing more than deep brea… Continue

Mom Lounge Release Yourself!

While watching the PBS program The Story of India I realized the women, (mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, grandmothers) who gather annually for a ceremony where they release themselves of all negative energy are really on to something... Obviously as it is a tradition passed down generations spanning several centuries. I decided I needed to release myself also! You know from food, emotional baggage.. a little meditation goes a long way! Anyone else have anything to add? Continue
