In the last ONE day alone, my four-year-old precious (as I say that through clenched teeth) son Lukas (but let's called him LUKAN as in CONAN--get it?) has destroyed, in no particular order: my whisk (cuz I DO cook me some mean scrambled eggs); my cool as you please big ole silver hoop earrings that I searched long and hard for (and finally found at Urban Outfitters--cheap!)--and I loved them because they were light as air--and now they are misshapen forks; and my beloved big, round kitchen cloc…

The world that has opened up as a result of my children is extreme in every way. It feels as if I have unlocked a door that has never been opened; I see colors that I have never seen.
The pitch of their screams pricks my ears up and registers a heartbeat that could literally bounce from my chest. When they laugh, I am elevated. When they hurt, I feel their pain in places I didn't know existed. When they learn I sometimes feel as though I see their beautiful wings spreading and I want to explode…

Hi everyone,
I am new here and I had a quick look over this forum and found a lot of intresting group. I have such a choice that I have trouble deciding which one to join. I must say that I am very intrested in anything that has to do with blogging, writing, life (my #1 choice), law of attraction( the secret), food and motherhood.
Well something about myself. I am a Work at Home mom who is absolutley in love with her job. One other recent passion that I have discovered is that i love to write. I…

My generation can be described as the microwave generation. I remember how excited we were to get our first microwave – no more waiting for supper! Now we expect everything fast and easy. We want what we want and we want it now. Don’t tell me it takes time. Don’t tell me to be patient. Don’t tell me to trust that it will all come together down the road. I want results today! Does this sound like a two year old having a hissy fit? Too bad that two year old is in an adult’s body – in society, infl…

I take on too much. I know that about myself, can't help it and then I pay the price. I push, push, push and eventually I push too far and the world starts spinning and I don’t mean figuratively. I mean I wake up in the middle of the night and feel like I am on the Teacups at Disneyland. Every time it happens I react like Redd Foxx. This is the big one and grab at my chest while quickly running through all the people who will wake up the next morning to hear the news. Not you people of course, b…

I joined the writers fan page The Nervous Breakdown a few months back because some of my Myspace friends who, like me, are whoring around Facebook now and joined the group. If you can’t find me, I go where the traffic goes. Lemming is my maiden name. But I changed it to Kehoe just before puberty because what anxi…

There is an ongoing "debate" as to whether or not women can successfully manage a career AND a family. Both are equally demanding aspects of women's lives that they want to manage successfully. Some say women shouldn't sacrifice their family, specifically their children, to be successful in business. Others say women should go for their dreams and be successful in business to give a good example to their children, specifically their daughters. It isn't a black and white issue. Today's upwardly m…

Being Sick is A W E S O M E .
So this week has been filled with tons of drama.
Who loves drama raise your hand?
No one. Really?
Ugh, me neither, but apparently medical drama is what the Robinson children do best. This we have known for a long time, but now all their friends are in on the drama.
As of right now I am at home *shocking* and haven't left the house except to go to the doctor since the weekend. Can you say cabin fever?
So the drama began when Misa Misa came down with a high feve…

Scenario 1: You know when you’re writing one of those put-that-insulting-woman-in-her-place letters that you only intend for the recipient to be your drafts folder? You’re writing it for therapeutic reasons, really, as you know you would never have the nerve to actually stand up for yourself and hit “send”. Certainly, if you did, you would do it with dignity, not sprinkle it with the F word as liberally as movie theatres salt their popcorn to bring you to near death by dehydration so you have to…

From The Momoir Project Blog

I am a young girl, playing on the sidewalk that forms a white border around the yellow stone house of my childhood. And in the summer breeze, alone except for the whistle of the wind in the trees and the distant cries of other children playing in the hot, bright sun, I step into the grooves and cracks in the pavement, slipping my jelly shoe feet into the parts in between. I try, concentrating all my mental energy and the…

I am fascinated. I have limited myself for so long. Thinking I was open-minded yet shutting out the opposition. Limiting my friendships to those with my same mindset. Those living a life similar to mine and not too far "above" me. As "Theta Mom" commented on my blog post, "The Key to..."; there is a sisterhood among mothers. Short, tall, black, white, rich, poor, atheist, christian, pro-this, pro-that-we are women & mothers, lovers & friends. We all have a common ground.
Tonight I had a…
