Sex-Starved Wives: An Epidemic of Sex-Starved Women I heard a joke the other day that goes something like this. A couple seeks marital therapy. The wife complains that her husband isn't interested in having sex. At some point in the middle of the session the therapist grabs the woman and kisses her passionately while she "oohs" and "aahs" with delight. The therapist then turns…

The Walkaway Wife Syndrome
For the past two decades I have devoted myself to helping couples work out their differences in order to keep their marriages and families together. This marriage-saving passion is not based on religious beliefs nor do I think that divorce is morally wrong. My
divorce busting…

Fear-full or Faith-full?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?” Marianne Williamson
Fear is the opposite of faith. Many people are overcome by fear when they focus more on their circumstances and the dictates of society. Look at fear this way: False, Evidence, Appe…

I've coached, counseled and mentored many women in the area of relationships and I find that many times we miss out on the empowering support necessary to manifest effective relationships because often times women feel that they are admitting to failure when seeking out advice or resources.
On the contrary! When you continue along a path doing the same thing expecting different results you are actually a demonstration of one definition of insanity. Yes, I said insanity.
To acknowledge challeng…

Okay, most of my friends think I am awful, but I do not want any of the traditional things Mom’s get for Mother's Day. Family, please do not get me flowers, or something for the kitchen, or even breakfast in bed. Here is my list of my perfect Mother’s Day.

Know God Know Peace
You shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace:
The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 58:12
I don't know about you but that sounds soooo good, refreshing and rejuvenating.
In my earlier years of marriage I may have desired to win the creative, intense fellowship (argument) (smile).
I had more energy to exert and my mind was just a little bit clearer. It seemed that I didn't…

Our family interviewed to be cast for ABC Family's
Wife Swap.
But after a few long talks, we decided that we weren't a good fit for the show. Not only do we have a

Is it just me or was 2008 the year of the wife? The heat is off the desperate housewives and all eyes are on that thing that you thought had gone west with our mothers’ generation: the art of being a good wife.
In the space of a few months, the spotlight has shifted from w…

In college, I was very pleased with my body. I weighed about 120 lbs but looked like 100 lbs. As the exercising decreased I gained weight. By the time my college days were over I was 135 lbs, not bad at all. I was actually very pleased with that weight. The stress of working, being a lone, constant travel, happiness, marriage and kids had pushed me to a weight of 190 lbs. That was because I was pregnant, but still, we don’t want to gain weight when we are pregnant. We want a perfectly healthy ba…

It is never easy to be a wife. It is never an easy task as others may think it is. And I strongly believe that every wife just like me wants the husband to be happy not just every time they are together but for the entire marital relationship… for a lifetime.
Since I really love reading for several reasons most of the time, for personal and professional growth, I have read a write-up on what a man looks and expects his woman to be. Upon discernment, I have decided to share it to all the wives a…

Whatever that is! I'm willing to celebrate it. In fact, for the first time in a really long time I'm going out with some girlfriends tonight for dinner and drinks. I can't wait. No, not to celebrate this silly day I just happen to run accross, but to see some of my past co-workers from a company I worked at over 8 years ago. It will just be fun to catch up. We only get together about once a year. I probably have forgotten how to act in public. Should be interesting.
So, how did I find out about…
